Material volume: Larger busbars (in terms of width, thickness and length) require more copper, directly increasing material costs.

Processing technology and complexity:

Standards and customization: The unit cost of standard rectangular busways is generally cheaper than custom shaped, curved or complex machined busways.

Bend: Complex bends increase processing costs.

Piercing/Drilling: The number and complexity of holes increase manufacturing time and cost.

Mechanical processing: Any precision machining (e.g., thread machining, special cutting) increases costs.

Laminated: Laminated busbars involve multiple layers of copper and dielectric, requiring more complex manufacturing processes, resulting in higher costs.

Surface treatment/plating:

Electroplating materials: Due to the higher cost of silver and the electroplating process itself, silver plating is more expensive than tin plating.

Electroplating thickness: Thicker plating layers increase costs.

No plating and plating: In terms of surface finish, uncoated busbars are the cheapest option.

Insulation:

Insulation type: Heat shrink tubing, powder coating, bus cover or integrated bus duct system each has different materials and application costs.

Coverage: Fully insulated buses are more expensive than buses with minimal or no insulation.

Quantity (order quantity):

Economies of scale: Due to bulk purchasing of materials, reducing manufacturing set-up times, and optimizing production operations, the larger the order quantity, the lower the unit price.

Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): Smaller custom orders may have higher unit costs or need to meet MOQs.

Quality and purity of copper:

Electrolytic tough copper (ETP) (C11000/CW004A):This is standard and widely used.

Oxygen-free, highly conductive (OFHC) copper (C10200/CW008A): Although more expensive, it has higher conductivity and is the first choice for some sensitive electronic or vacuum applications.

Alloy: If a specific copper alloy is used (for example, to obtain higher strength or high temperature resistance), the cost may vary.

Manufacturers and brands:

Well-known manufacturers with high quality control standards and certifications may charge additional fees.

Delivery Time/Delivery:

Emergency orders requiring expedited production or transportation may incur additional costs.
